Good gods, I am falling asleep here. Good thing today will mostly be a low-key day.

This is why I maintain we need a dedicated nap room at work.

But nobody listens.

We can have a dedicated nap room on here.

Though that might not help as much...

There's the lack of a dark, safe place to lie down, for starters...

I'm sure the thread has plenty of dark places. It's the safety I worry about.

I'd be worried about what I was laying in/on, too.

Nap rooms are good. I tried to get a smoosh room at work. While a lot of folks liked the idea, the managers didn't, saying some folks would never leave.

Yeah, well, the purpose of a nap room is to have a place where we can relax and sleep, right?

What's a smoosh room?

It's a Jersey Shore reference. They had a room they used for hook-ups, since everybody had 2 or 3 to a bedroom. That was the private place.

Oh, it's not that they were ugly, physically anyway, but every single one of them has had a mean streak ten miles wide and a mile deep. Mean doesn't even begin to describe some of them. Evil doesn't do them justice.

Yeah, go ahead and take a nap in the room over yonder.

Don't you never mind all the sharpened implements hanging from the ceiling, the assortment of odd cutlery laying on various stainless steel tables around the room, or the clutter of the wide variety of power tools scattered about.

And those straps along the sides of the, ahem, cot are there to help keep you from falling out of bed during your, er, time there...

Haggis, I got the bar's stuff and all my stuff from downstairs and out back all loaded up, 'cept for the booze we'll be usin' on the trip, of course. That's piled in Bob the BOLO's back seat. He'll follow along draggin' the ancient Aztek temple.
