It's been one of the coolest Julys I can remember.

Today the high is only supposed to be 72F/22C.

By the way, what's the plural of July? Julys doesn't look right, but Julies is certainly not either. I have one Julie (DD #2)--I don't need another one.

This is definitely the best July I've experienced since moving to the US in 05. I wish every summer could be like this! It's only 71 degrees outside right now. Bliss!

Sanity is overrated.

Sat Nam! (Literally "Truth Name"--a Sikh greeting)

My mad scientist brother says he keeps his sanity by using it as little as possible.

The problem with all the crazy things is that these are what people like to read about, so these are the things that get reported, then everyone gets the idea that this is what is happening to the world. (This is why we don't watch the news or read newspapers...usually.) Actually, life goes on most places just like it always has.

:hi: and pie to all.

Blessings,

Siri Kirpal

Some of us are more beautiful without pants.

For example, Anne Hathaway . . . :)

My cousin just made a salad of watermelon, orzo, feta, and basil. It's pretty good! We both decided it would be better after sitting in the refrigerator overnight to let the flavors blend.

There's lots of that, if you want some. :)

It's 76 degrees with humidity to match! *&#$^ Go ahead and laugh, but we don't have a/c except for an ancient wall unit (Monkey Wards) in the bedroom.

. . . and no one is here to see it.

At least eight of those posts were about writing.

And, for anyone else who's hungry, we are now serving Fancy Feast Savory Salmon Feast in the utility room. Seating is limited . . . actually, it's not existent but you can use the washer and dryer as tables.

My mother sewed a lot. When I was little I would go with her to the fabric stores. In those days a lot of the clerks didn't measure using any kind of tape, they would hold the fabric and stretch it to their nose--they knew how long that was. They could measure four yards of fabric in seconds.
