Here is a very basic question. In Writer's Market many publications say "Query with clips." . . . My question is: Do I accompany my query letter with simply a listing of my published work? Or do I photocopy my relevant published work and send in the actual photocopies of my published articles? Thanks for any guidance you can give me here.

I usually send PDFs by e-mail, but photocopies by regular mail would be the equivalent. You don't want the editor to do any more work to read your stuff than he/she has to.

Editors don't just want to know where you've been published, but also want to know how you write, and whether your style matches their magazine.

Provide a link to your website, always. No one wants to receive attachments from people they don't know and most editors will delete any e-mails that contain them unread.
