Season two! I normally hop around, but this time I decided to watch it straight through.

We're on season 4. :) My mom and I binged yesterday and watched like three episodes when I got off work. GG is the mac and cheese of TV.

Sigh.

~10 hours without electricity last night.

~4 hrs today shoveling snow off the driveway, not yet finished
~1 hr trying to cut enough branches off the 80' tree that snapped off and landed in my front yard from crushing my dogwood underneath.
~3 hrs cleaning the kitchen
~5 hrs cooking a turkey
0 kids helping me
3 kids whining and complaining and fighting over the TV the whole time.
30 seconds after Thanksgiving dinner actually served: boychild announces he's not hungry and then barfs all over my living-room carpet.

1 me, hiding in my office for the rest of the night.

*gives all the hugs*

If it helps, I only really started appreciating my parents after I turned 19, so you have that to look forwards to at least?

... I'm not actually sure that's encouraging, now that I look at it again

Morning, morning! I am hungry and must go forage for food.

I feel a thinky post coming. Am I allowed to type up some introspection here?

Ugh. Why? Why did the elements conspire against you last night?

Good morning Cantina!

I had a nice Thanksgiving, even though I worked all night prior. Today, I don't have much planned. I might start getting some of the Christmas decorations down. Not the tree though. That takes a little more effort than I'm willing to give right now.

Good....er, Afternoon, Cantina. Hosting Turkey Day yesterday was mostly a success. Thank goodness it is over. I'm de-stressing today. I'm thinking I might open my WIP and write a few little words.
Congratulations on surviving!

We're having friends over tomorrow. I'm totally stressing out because one of them is a little one - a 2-year-old who's very well behaved, but as curious as any kid. I've never tried to child-proof a place before and I'm sure I'm forgetting half a million things. Am thinking of putting out a few of the Christmas stuffed animals we keep for decoration as a distraction. (They include a hopping Christmas Tigger and a singing Santa-Goofy)
