Hmm... saw it today. The only thing I liked more about Webb's than Raimi's was Emma Stone's portrayal of Gwen Stacey. It was much better than Kirsten Dunst's portrayal of MJ. I actually felt some chemistry coming from her end of the relationship.

Other than that? Meh. I thought it was too slow. A bit too emo-ey at times, and eye-rolling-ly sweet at others. Garfield is hotter than Maguire, but I didn't really like him in this, tbh. I thought Maguire was a superior actor and had more charisma, both with and without the suit.

But more than that, my problems were with the script structure itself. I was sitting around, waiting for Parker to become Spidey. And when that happened, I was sitting around, waiting for him to beat Connor. And when that happened, I was sitting around, waiting for him to get over his relationship angst.

2 stars for Webb. 3.5 for Raimi. 3.75 for Whedon's Avengers. Last to see, Nolan's Batman. I wasn't crazy about The Dark Knight, so I'll see how my experience with the DKR goes.

The305itself is on a distinguished road
The action in this movie was improved, I liked it, but the story I did not
