My name is Anna and I'm new here (obviously!).
I studied history in college/University/whatever you call it, and then a few years ago started writing. Funny story: all throughout high school and most of college, I hated writing. I actively avoided classes that included lots of writing to the extent that I ignored my teacher's recommendations about what classes to take and made decisions that ultimately hurt my chances of getting into the university I wanted to. All so I could avoid writing more than absolutely necessary.
And now I love it and if a day goes by without a chance to write, I have trouble sleeping.
I have only written one novel through to the end, but I've started on the sequel and I've outlined five more books in the series. I'm kind of a perfectionist, so even though I finished draft 1 of the MS a year and a half ago, I'm still working on it...fine-tuning...learning the craft as I go along...looking for beta readers (PM me if interested)...researching agents...that sort of thing.
So, this book is historical (go figure) romance YA with a touch of inspirational set in WWII Serbia. In one sentence: A 14-year-old girl learns a potentially disastrous secret about her family, but when an innocent man is blamed for her sister's death, she has to take a risk and reveal this secret to save him. She never expected the risk she took to affect her feelings for this young man so strongly...
