I like the Pittsburgh Zoo. It's a lot of fun, with a lot to see, but still relatively compact enough to not be a hike to get places.

Though I do wish the polar bear swam more often.

They were actually in the water today. :D

A very pleasant evening to my royal brethren.

Temperatures in Osaka are sunny and hot, ranging from 36-39 degrees Celcius. Egg-frying time on the sidewalk, as it were.

Mmmmm...eggs.

A lovely picture of a breakfast I shall endeavor to recreate tomorrow morning, Duchessmary. It is night here, and I must soon away to bed. I wish all the Royal Peers a happy, eggy day. Scrambled, fried, poached, pie-eyed, tossed and deviled, they're all the king's feast to me.

I bid you all a good night.

All hail King J.S.F.!:Hail::Hail::Hail:

I apologize for my lateness in greeting you, noble King. 'Tis been a busy past several days for this elven princess, and continues to get busier.

May King J.S.F. forever have sweet dreams.

Another Frontier Days is over, and I'm still trying to recover. Hmm. Let's see, what adventures do I have to relate . . .

The first weekend, I got cow kicked by my cranky old nag of a horse while I was home doing chores. Spent the rest of the ten days with a brace on my hand.

Helped find a couple of lost kids on the park.

Oh, and one day a friend and I were selling truck raffle tickets, and these three hot young men sat down and said, "What are you ladies going to do to convince us to buy some tickets?"
Yeah, like that's not a loaded question.

The talker of the three was charming and engaging. And I was pretty sure he had no interest in tickets (my friend is a petite gorgeous blonde, it wasn't a leap in logic to figure out what drew them to the table). So when they countered our plus points about the truck with, "I can buy a beer with $5 instead", I said, "You know, you're right. That's a great idea. You guys go drink a lot of beer, and then come back here and we'll sell you a ticket or ten." :evil

Ah, if I only had a camera. The looks on their faces were priceless. The talker's jaw dropped.

He got this shocked/amused grin on his face, and shook his finger at me. "You're naughty!"

I resisted the urge to say- no, I'm wicked.

If guys like that had even looked at me when I was young, I would have blushed and gone tongue tied. Fortunately age tends to cure such foolish weaknesses.

You tell 'em, Wicked...

...er, that was a witty and amusing reply to those young lads. Youth does have its disadvantages, impertinence being one of them.

Good day, members of the realm! Today is Thursday in my part of the world, and for the rest of today and tomorrow, our theme will be...

...Spam.

You all know your mission. I shall await images and .gifs of Spam/spam.

:D

Good evening Royals!

I just can't do the Spam. That stuff freaks me out.

I went to a team member picnic after work. It was a nice time, though now I'm tired. I'll probably go to bed a little early tonight.

I hate Spam
It rhymes with ham.
It is not lamb.
It would not be eaten by a clam.
Or someone named Pam.
Down my throat it would have to be crammed,
because I do not eat Spam.
I'd rather eat a yam.

I wish Spam would scram,
or take a tram,
to the Hoover Dam.
It weighs more than a gram.
It does not taste like jam.
It is a sham.
Maybe even a scam.
Thank you, ma'am.
I hate Spam.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I won't do it. There's a few things in life that are too vile.

No, I'm not doing a SPAM breakfast. If anyone else wants to, knock yourself out.

I have enough hazmat suits to go around if anyone wants to protect themselves from the Spam.

Good evening, fellow Royals and my Peers of the Realm of J.S.F.! I bid thee a very pleasant Thursday, as it is Friday morning here and a day hath been lost doing edits of a publicatory nature. My apologies.

For Friday, there shall be no more Spam. I have had my fill of it, I do not need it, and the suit provided by a loyal, Royal member, did indeed protect me from the spamatory fallout.

Therefore, Friday's theme shall be...horses. Noble steeds, carrying valiant lads and lasses off to battle or through the woods and over to Grandma's house. So let it be written, so let it be done.

(Please?)

:)

Somewhere in my mind... it echoes in here ...
I've spelunked in a lot of caves, bats are pretty much part of the scenery.

This pic is me up a chimney off the Lunch Room in Illinois Caverns. The state closed it to the public because of some disease that is infesting the bat population.

What a shame - it's a fun cave.
