In search of beta-readers

I don't know if others have used this way but I really have no clue how and where to go look for them.
So I intend to post my blurb and my book cover (if that's possible) and ask for people who are specifically interested in my book and who want to give me advice on the content.

Can I do this here or do I have to post this somewhere else?

There is a Share Your Work section (password: vista) where you can share excerpts for critique, but you'll need to have 50 posts before you can participate there. Otherwise, there is the beta reader request section. It's a good idea to do critiques to help build up your post count; you'll be participating in the AW community and members are generally willing to critique your work if you've critiqued theirs.
