Hey, guys, take a look at this glorious library desk made of recycled books. I want one!

That's awesome! Unless of course your custom desk arrives, and upon closer inspection, you realize it is made from all of the remaindered copies of your novel...
Yeah, I don't know whether to be impressed or appalled. I wouldn't want one of MY books glued together to make a desk, and never be read again... But maybe they used all the books somebody dropped in the bathtub or spilled jelly on...
A partial request--that's great! Good luck, ABC!
Well, it turned into a revise-and-resend request. So now I've got to figure out how to get to the action in my book quicker...

Just a reminder about a middle grade blog started by some AW writers. (Full disclosure: I'm one of them...) It's a recent addition to the blogosphere, but there are already some informative, funny posts.

My new middle-grade novel is ready to hit the shelves! I just got my author copies yesterday and it looks so... so... well, so much like a book. It's funny-- this is one I started years ago, rewrote and rewrote, put aside and forgot about, and then finally rewrote and submitted early last year. After all those scribble-filled notebooks and multiple computer files, it iso exciting to see it as an actual book at last. And I LOVE the cover.
