I am trying to identify something I watched on TV when I was young, and which I believe was written by the playwright Stephen Poliakoff. My memories of it are extremely vague.
I think I saw it in the 1980s. The only thing I remember of it is an image from near the end of it being set in a sandy quarry. I think the main character was an older man, and he may have killed someone. I think he died at the end. I also associate the word 'eagle' with this.
These vague things have stuck with me for years. I have looked at Stephen Poliakoff's listed works but haven't been able to find something that could be it. Is any of this ringing any bells for anyone?
