Oh, I forgot the all-you-can-eat chocolate fondue. I mean, really, what was I thinking?

I wish I was writing. But I'm in editing phase (right now I'm in reading phase)

Dang, I don't login for a couple of days and y'all are having parties when I get back... I'm revising papers for school. Is there anything worse? On a high note, I'm in a Teaching Writing course, and I feel like I would make an AWESOME beta reader now lol!

I'm sure everyone here is happy to hear that you'd make a great beta ;)

Finished my read-through of TM. <3 it. Did a lot of revision as I went (it was not on my Kindle), and so the revisions I know I still have to do are looking far less daunting. Most of my remaining edits are about the war scenes, sigh.

Hey folks! Back from my vacation at last. I'm so pooped. I told myself I'd stay up and trick my body so I could get back on schedule (time-wise) but there's no way I can stay up for another couple hours. I'm headed to bed, hopeful to rest enough for work, critiquing, and writing tomorrow. Whew!

:partyguy: Yay for finishing your book! And your 10th one? Faaaabulous.

I'm popping in to say I probably won't be around much because I have 1 month left :Hammer:before I graduate college/university/whatever you call it, and I have soo many papers/projects to complete so I can do that. :e2thud:

So, this is the first time I've poked my head in here. Just wanted to say hi!

Oh, and congrats to the graduates!

Guys, I am seriously crying here. Open Office screwed up a submission, and I can't submit again, and it's going to be rejected without anyone reading.

OMG, that sucks, Sage! Was this TM you were subbing?
It's Hero/Villain (TM is definitely not ready). H/V seems cursed. I can't query it to save my life. Even agents I have a good personal relationship with either ignored the query altogether or told me they couldn't even look at it because they had a pre-existing client already writing a superhero book (but those were really nice about that fact). SC was kinda my last ditch I'm-not-going-to-query-anymore-but-they-don't-even-want-a-query chance. And from what they were looking for it sounded perfect for them.

I'm debating whether to contact them and ask to resub due to a computer glitch. I'm not editing it, which is the reason for their "do not resub" guidelines, and Open Office's problems with RTF is well documented if you do a Google search

I say go for it! The worst they can say is no, but they very well might let you. I hope they do! I'm polishing mine up to submit as we speak. It's the last place the particular ms is going before I decide to put it down for a while (which makes me so sad!). Good luck with it!

You really have nothing to lose by giving them a call, so I say go for it.

Also, I bought Microsoft Office yesterday, so no more Open Office for me.

Thanks, guys. I'm going to fix the submission tonight to make sure it's all formatted right before I even talk to them, then use their contact form on the site.
