Memoir- flash and shorts?

I had a thought about memoir writing. Given that much depends on execution, what do all of you out there think of a series of flash and short pieces to describe a life? It seems to get around the problem that real life is so poorly organized compared to fiction. I'll just share the interesting bits and not worry about linking them together.

That should be fine...unless you want to do a book. Books need a narrative arc. Which can still be done with short/flash pieces, but you'd probably need some connective tissue.
