Yeah - moral seems to be to relax and try again later.

I was convinced- wrongly- it was something to do with my machine until silly old me realised that if I could get through to other sites the issue was localised to AW and would eventually be sorted out by Admin.

Congrats again to Admin. :Hug2:

Yay!! I was panicking!

Mine kept coming up connection refused.... I thought work had blocked it until I tried it at home! Then I thought it was an undercover banning. Panic! Then it occured to me it would be a good idea to try Twitter......

I just keep checking until it's back. Now, if it was down for days, I might get concerned...

I think I know what the problem is, and it's fixable (bots from Asia attacking in a swarm) but it will have to wait for Mac to be back since the how and when require Executive Jackbooted Thug decisions.

Thanks for all your patience folks, and especially for people re-tweeting.

It's much appreciated.

As soon as it quits raining enough to see, I'm going to go buy doughnuts and hot coffee, an I Won't Be Sharing With Certain People.

(Do Brits even have doughnuts? Or are they donuts?)

Me too! That's part of why I was freaking out. LOL The other part of it was...well...what am I supposed to do with my down time when I'm otherwise supposed to be working?

We definitely do have doughnuts. My dad used to make them when my parents had their tearooms. He had a foolproof recipe: he'd make up a batch of scone dough, then roll it into balls and deep-fry them; and then inject strawberry jam into them with a special nozzle on a piping bag.

My husband has come up with a variation he thinks would be a winner, if only someone would make them for him: steak and kidney doughnuts.

He's bonkers.
