You're fluffy.

The local news anchors reported on our city's status as, apparently, woefully unhappy this morning. They disputed it by saying, 'we just really like to complain - it makes us happy!'

I'm kind of on board.

I lived in Richmond for four years and thought it was kind of a hole.

I did, however, make the best friends I've ever had there, so I'm headed back there for a visit in a few days, which makes me ----- HAPPY!

Ha-hey! Happytown #4 (the 1mil+)! This is a pretty great area to be in, so I'm not entirely surprised.

No complaints here either. Idk why the Durham part of the Triangle gets such a bad rep. The whole area is kind of awesome.

Yay, most unhappy city. Then again, who can tell between true unhappiness and a New Yorker's general resting bitch face demeanor? That's how we tell the transplants apart from the rest of us.

I live in Northern VA...north of Richmond and west and a tiny bit south of DC. So I'm going to say I'm stuck in the middle of happiness. :) I know I'm happy, at least. I love my life.

Haha. Scranton, PA least happy region. Home of "The Office." Makes sense. Michael would make me miserable too. :D

You know it's funny . . . I just don't get into MJ. And neither do most of my friends. Even after it became legal, it was like, "Meh."

On the other hand, PA seems to be a state where a lot of unhappiness occurs. Holy cow.

Wow, I definitely dodged a bullet in not moving to Detroit.

Seems about spot on for what I've seen living in LA metro and NW Nevada. Gives me more leads on where to look for grad schools.

It would seem that Louisiana is by far the happiest place to live in the United States. It also always ranks near the bottom of these kinds of surveys in Education, Literacy, Health, and Health Care.

Maybe ignorance is bliss.

This survey must have been done before O'Malley took office. Maryland is definitely not above some of these other happy regions. Baltimore ain't exactly brimming with delight...

DC is happy because of all the oblivious, uber rich politicans...

That, or a lot of alcohol.
Perhaps the food and music also help.

Anybody else notice Chicago (1254 shooting victims and counting, this year) didn't make the bottom of the list? Nope, no idea what it means. It just surprised me.
