Thanks Medievalist! There was a jump in sales during and shortly after the takeovers. Before the the most recent takeover, I was selling only about 1-2 books/day, and in the 24 hours from the start of the last takeover, I sold 12 books through Amazon alone. I also gained readers by holding contests and giving away free eBooks (of my own book) as prizes. Some of the readers who won my free eBook have already left positive reviews on Goodreads & Amazon (something that I did not even request). One of my other prizes was an eBook of their choice (from any author of their choice) and the reader who won that asked for MY book. Most importantly, I had fun, readers had fun, and I gained exposure. I got to know more people in the book reading/blogging community and more people now know of me and my book.
