PuttPutt, I have the same problem at the end of Nano when I don't have a group meeting me at the coffee shop or word racing online. I partially solved that by guilting a coworker into going writing with me.

Dammit, I thought I'd solved that problem by basically whoring myself out to as many writing partners as possible, all of them in different time zones...

Hey, how did you all get your NaNo word counters into your sigs? I had mine, but it didn't want to update the word count in it.

Sometimes the word counters take a while to update.

1. go to http://nanowrimo.org/widgets
2. pick the widget you like. copy the code for it.
3. go to the User CP on AW
4. click on 'edit signature'
5. in the signature box, paste the code
6. put [img*] at the start of the code and [/img*] at the end
7. take out the *'s
8. click Save

should work...

Still working, but slowing way down. I'm ahead of the game, but my Mom has been sick in the hospital for the past few days and I have been distracted. I will go to Indianapolis on Nov. 21st to see her. Today I have off work so I can write all day, hopefully get in some more leeway so that I can take time off later. Hoping I can attend another write-in or two before I go to Indy. And hoping my Mom takes her meds, gets better and stays better.

Almost to 13k (which means almost to today's goal)! My behind-ness is nobody's fault but my own.

And really, I should work to get ahead, so tomorrow and Monday's gaming won't throw me off again. Once you're in the hole, the directions are OUT and DEEPER.
