WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The idea behind this anthology was to create a pro-paying venue for light and humorous science fiction and fantasy. There are far too few speculative markets that buy and publish humor as compared to, say, dark fantasy.
I’d like to showcase a broad variety of speculative humor. I’ll consider stories ranging from absurdist to satire to dry wit. I’m partial to short fiction by Robert Sheckley, Fredric Brown, Robert Silverberg and Mike Resnick. Non-traditional narratives are welcome. Take chances, try something new, just make sure that your story is entertaining. Puns and stories that are little more than vehicles for delivering a punch line at the end aren’t likely to win me over.
