Ah - I seem to have conflated the two in a general "meh" reaction. Love, love, LOVE the original film, mostly for the sets and costumes. Not really fond of some of the actors, but the structure reminds me of the glory days of companies like Hammer, Tyburn and British Lion.
The flying monkeys are uber-creepy.

I know I've seen the movies...but I can't remember what they were about. Maybe I should rewatch them sometime.

Every time I see a flying monkey, I look to see who's butt they flew out of in case it was somebody I knew and if I won something good. There are more than a few people who have promised me great things when monkeys flew out of their butt and I'm very patient.

I would love to make monkeys fly out of somebody's butt just once--especially all the snooty hot women who turned me down.
