I'm new to freelance writing and I busted my butt and started to get some assignments. I sent out LOI to hundreds of trade magazines and landed a few assignments. It's nice to see my name in print and I've even bumped up to getting paid a few hundred dollars a piece. That may not seem much to you but since I am just starting out it is nice. I have a goal of getting into a national magazine by the end of summer. I haven't sent out any queries yet because I am still waiting for some clips to be published....just waiting for May to roll in.
