Outsource.com - a good place to find work? (or not?)

Hi all,
In my scouring the web to find leads, I've found outsource.com. It looks as if there are freelance leads there...but... you have to pay to have opportunity to apply.

This doesn't sit well with me. Do any of you use this site to find work? Is it worth paying for, or is it a scam?

I've never found any site that required payment for prospective leads to be useful. Just my experience, though; others may have.

Yeah, there are a few of these sites out there, and I've yet to find one that's not a ripoff. The "leads" you get from them are usually crap.

That's quite a statement, do you have anything to back this up? Have you -- or do you know of users of the site -- who've been caught out by this?
