How can I find and email the editor of the new Jesse Stone novel, BLIND SPOT? The editor's name isn't given in the book, as authors sometimes do.

Why do you want to?

The person works at Putnam.

Yes, I know the person likely works at Putnam.

The writing style of the novel is similar to mine, so I thought that editor might like my stuff. Just taking a shot.

Oh, you meant editor in that sense; I thought you were looking for someone who edited, not an acquisitions person.

If you write like that, probably should've applied for the job writing that. ;)

You need an agent.

If you want to submit to an editor at a specific large publisher, look for an agent who can do that for you.

Who represents the author concerned? That might be a good place to start.
