It's like a huge weight was taken off my shoulders. I've been away from the forums for a long while, to focus on finishing my WIP and today I can safely say I did it! :partyguy:

I've been working on this particular draft since last year's NaNoWriMo, some of you might remember I sprinted to make 85K words in a month, and ever since I've been polishing, rewriting and editing it. It's my first novel and I'm just so so relieved.

Now, comes the fun part of sending it to beta readers, professional revision, writing query letters, synopsis, etc... But at least I can say I've written a novel.

And there's more to come :D

CGs on the big step forward and here's to the next!

My synopsis trick: Write your "long" one first -- five to ten pages. Then start paring away until you get your shorter ones, 2-3 pages, 1 page, 1 paragraph, elevator pitch.

Thank you for the advice. I will definitely need it, considering my draft is a little over 100K words D:

Another weight off my shoulders: started the process of getting it trademarked (or whatever the word is) just in case. Some publishers only take in MSs that have been registered at our national trademark book thing-y.

So that's good. Thanks for the positivity, guys!

A feeling I have yet to feel. With that kind of work ethic and determination you will go a long way.

Congratulations!

Congratulations. I love the feeling of finishing a piece you can be proud of. It's like a "runner's high" for writers.
