I'm presently wanting to finish a MG Fantasy Drama for my New Years Resolution. This is going to be a bit of an odd practice test, as I've never written fantasy before. (Well not totally anyway.) I guess the saying goes, you can't learn how to do it unless you practice it.:p

I have two half written novels I want to finish and write one more. So by the end of 2014 I will have three new novels.

I also want to read at least 50 books this year.

Blog more consistently.

Beta read more often.

So glad to hear that some of you guys have been able to reach your 2013 goals.

My goals for 2014 are:

  • Finish the MG ms I'm working on
  • Query the hell out of the one I finished
  • Finish the Chapter Book I'm working on
  • Read more
  • Get an agent
  • Beta read those in need

All of these, save for the agent thing (fingers still crossed), are perfectly reasonable and attainable. I know 2014 is going to be a good year. I can feel it in the air.

I think 2014 will be a good year for me too. I will

1) Finish my current WIP
2) Write everyday
3) Blog at least twice a month
4) Turn my current WIP into a lean mean querying machine

And I also hope to

GET AN AGENT!!!!! *dances crazily*

Oh and I wouldn't mind finding a serious writing partner.

Oh man, but if I tell you guys my goals, you can hold me to them and stuff. But right, I guess that's the point. Here goes:

1. Finish revisions to Great Woods and polish to a high shine.
2. Revise query, post in QLH and edit the daylights out of it.
3. Begin querying.
4. Get to 25k of new WIP.
5. And, just for fun - write a poem a month.

Good luck, everyone, and happy writing!

Man... I met no goals. Lol. This year, my goal should be something achievable... like breathing in and out every day.

In interest of starting small this year, I'll say:

  • Attend at least three of my local writers group meetings.
  • Finish my first draft this year.

2013 was good but I have lofty goals for 2014:

- Get agent my latest novel so the queue of books to pitch never runs dry.
- Round out my self published series with 4th book before Christmas
-get first book in new series out in the market
-Win the lottery without buying a ticket ('cus I can't bring myself to buy one but I really want to win)
-Make a habit of writing short stories.
