Yeah, I requested a room mod to change or remove the date (it's too old for me to edit)

Does anyone know if/how you can change your nano name? After 6 years, I feel like I've outgrown mine.

ETA: Nm, I finally found it. Blah, deleting and losing everything/everyone just isn't worth it.

I'm still mourning the fact that the only way to get an account with my pen name was to abandon the one I'd had since 2006 and create a new one. I was miffed.

Oh and here's my profile if anyone wants to buddy me: http://nanowrimo.org/participants/becky-black

Okay, so it's an older thread, but we probably don't need a new one every year, right?

ETA: When I get time later, I'll make a list on the first post of the names.
Oooh, that would be *terrific*. It would be so much easier if everyone left a link to their profile, too. So, hint hint. :p

When I have real Internet, I will start a 2014 thread with a list of names & links to profiles, if I have them. I'll add anyone who posted in 2014 to this thread to the new one. It was suggested to me elsewhere that it makes more sense to have a new thread each year.

Saw a guy on my commute this mroning, reading a writing advice book. I think it was Plot and Structure by James Scott Bell, one of the Writer's Digest Write Great Fiction series. I have that one. It's v. good. I was dying to ask him if he was prepping for NaNoWriMo.

Hi all. This is my first NaNo and I'm scared out of my wits:

Yeah, that's a fairly normal response. But don't worry. It's just a writing challenge. The word count is, in many ways, secondary to just sitting your butt down and writing. If you do that every day, even if you don't make the word count goal, you've still won.
