@ galenwriter - mailed you.
@ GeorgeK - It's an online health blog; several health articles need to be proofread, since I'm not a native English speaker. Timeline is - do a good job in peace. I'm still looking for both proofreaders and health writers. |

Payment is good and depends on quality of articles delivered. We are searching for a doctor, native English speaker (UK, US, AU) that has time to research and write general health articles in peace.

This isn't for me, but I know a number several people in the health field, including doctors, who might be interested. I've written and had published a few health oriented books and these people brought immense knowledge, ability, and credentials to the works. I'd approach them for you if you wish to give us detailed facts beyond your the above statement, which I find meaningless.

Boron, you're much more likely to attract qualified writers if you'd be willing to specify your minumum and maximum payment rates as well as providing more detailed information on who the intended audience is and what rights you are buying.

Two articles, 4c/word, about 500 words, topic by agreement, audience are readers that actually have a medical condition in question. If this goes good, you get a login to our health site, payment is then 10c/word (by PayPal and, I think, Google CheckOut - owner of the site - not me - pays). I can provide a link to the site via PM.
It's a job for doctors who have time. The owner of the site becomes the owner of your articles, when they are published, so you can not re-publish them on other sites. Your articles may be proofread if necessary, and might be reviewed in future by some other writer. We would appreciate, if you can provide your full name and surname when articles are published. I'm not an owner of the site; if you are accepted, any issue can be discussed with the owner and other writers, editors...There are Google adds on the site; this is the main source of income. We do not expect you make any impression, buzz or anything, but write professionally. Editing text (bolding, making links with other articles, listing references (links) to the source, and preparing an article for publishing - placing in categories, making "tags" - it's a Wordpress blog script) is necessary. Answering comments under articles - medical questions - is also expected. It's a long term job, you write what and how much you can. Articles can be from about 50 to 2,500 words, info-dense, like a reader is a patient in your office. No alternative medicine. @scope - I'm here, so... Last edited by boron; 10-28-2009 at 01:12 PM. |

Thanks, Boron. That's exactly the info I was looking for.
I'll not pursue this, as I could not answer medical questions on a website (that's tantamount to giving medical advice to a patient unseen, which I can't do) and could not make the kind of long-term committment you're seeking, but the pay rate will likely attract plenty of qualified writers. |

Answering questions in most cases means mentioning possible causes, available diagnostic and treatment and advice to visit a doctor is given regularly. Comments under particular articles can be blocked, so if a writer doesn't want to deal with this, he doesn't need to.
Long term - no commitment needed, but we sure expect some articles from each writer since we intend to spend some time with each one to discuss about how to reach a lot of visitors and such. |
