"hacks" (to mean "tips" or "shortcuts")

"kicks" (as in "shoes")

:roll: Yes, that's pretty annoying.

Actually, "kill with fire" probably qualifies as an overused, trendy expression. It just happens to be one I like. :D

"Hack", as in tip or trick.

Saving your avocado pit and growing a new plant is not a "life hack". Using bronzer on your legs when you don't have any pantyhose is not a "dress hack". Putting your children in the overhead compartment on the plane is not a "baby hack". A "hack" is either an illegal breach of a computer system or the person who first decided to use "hack" in this context.
