You know, the more I think about this persistent, nagging romance idea the more I feel like just writing it as a musical script, just for the sheer hell of it. Especially now my blooming musical theatre obsession has forced me to make one of the MCs a stage singer. Plus doing so would give me a break from trying to write proper prose style. Give me something fresh to sink my teeth into. Plus when I was in college I did some screen writing for my Film Studies course so I know I can do it.

But then it'd have to be a jukebox musical (a talented lyricist and musician I am not) and I only have, like, 4 songs right now that could work in it.

Hiding from mountain trolls. Do you smell fish?
Gosh...haven't had rain in nearly two months and now, on the TWO DAYS my husband gets off for the first time in, like, ever, there's nothing but rain in the forecast. There goes our beach time, which means half of our vacation plans, and lets hope we don't get rained out of the zoo again. Last time I was sure there'd be tornadoes the storms were so bad. They actually closed the zoo.

This seriously happens every time we get days off.

*moan*

You has a crew? Fancy! Like... minions?

Shhh, don't say that so loud! I've actually got them convinced they're important.

That sounds fun. :)

Uh. Hey, guys, um. Most of you know already that among other things, I suffer from one of the worst cases of depression east of Alaska. Right now I'm really feeling it, and no need to tlk me off a ledge or anything, I just want someone to worry about me for once. I haven't really got anyone to do that offline, and I don't really know where else to find familiar faces but here. So, yeah, um. Will exchange LOLcats for concern.

This, too!

Kawaii cat!

My cat has just been trying to catch a moth on my seriously precarious nightstand. Well, no, the nightstand is solid enough, but it's piled very high with various bits of crap that I have no place to put... It was funny because she's all "whoa! *slips* *pOUnCeS*" :)

I'm not really sure how to express genuine concern over the internet. Smileys just feel hollow and token in serious situations... erm...

Here, have a nostalgic hug:

I've found that cold, wet days seem best for visiting zoos, as the animals are more active and there are fewer people. On hot, sunny days, most zoo animals seem to just sleep.

When our kids were little, they knew that a wet day could mean a zoo day.

Awwwwww... Fezzy was just lying here kinda sleepy like, and leaned my head on his side and he started purring! He's come such a long way in the last 6 months. I'm so proud of him! He and Sophie are getting on much better, too! She just reached down and gave him a pat on the head from her perch on the nightstand. (She likes it there cause the fan blows right on her!)

ObWriting, maybe your collective minds can help with this... I thought I knew where this book was going, but where it's going is booooring. I have a main character who's a thief. He's about 30-35. He gets caught by some mobsters after successfully robbing a casino in Atlantic City (one of the guys who helped with the robbery ratted him out). This guy is rich. He never spends his money; has it socked away in bank accounts under assumed names all over the US. So, the mobsters catch him, take him to the don (trussed up in the boot of the car), don says kill him, heavies take him to a field/clearing in BFE Michigan and shoot him with an untraceable Saturday night special. Guy doesn't die straight away. Whole scene witnessed by a naked blonde in a tree. She knocks out the heavies, drags them to their car and puts them in cos it's snowing and she doesn't want them to die, picks up our hero and takes him home over her shoulders like a deer. Home is at her brother's house. He's a veterinarian. Blonde tries to get him to patch up the hero. Brother's all, dude... No way, he's like, dead in two hours. Sheriff comes by (his wife is the vet clinic nurse) wonders why blonde has run out of the house crying. Eventually we find out all these people bar our hero is a werewolf.

Where do I go from here? The current reason I have for them to change him is that blonde and vet's parents were accidentally darted and taken by a wolf relocation team. Standard blood test are done, something weird shows up and is flagged as needing to be sent to the CDC. CDC comes and confiscates the wolves because THEY know what the irregularities in the blood mean. Blonde is then taken by the same crew (although, CDC or wolf relocation, I dunno) and brother decides that they have to change our hero after all. So they do....

That's kinda where I'm stuck. Blonde has just woken up, after being darted, in a cage in the back of a van. That's it. I dunno how to keep the story going and it's mighty frustrating!

here is mister Fezziwig resting after having to go to the vet for scratching some fur off his neck. Silly boy.

Here is Miss Sophie looking pensive and romantic.

And here they both are, being fascinated by *whispers* bubbles!

I have some newer ones, but they're not off the camera yet. :)
