Hi. I'm trying to get three or four of my short stories really polished so I can start submitting them for publication. I'd love to hook up with someone who also has a few stories kicking around and who wants to swap and crit. All my stories are under 2,000 words, so I'm looking for a buddy who also has stories around that length. I'm an English teacher, so copy editing is my forte, but I have no problem commenting on all aspects of story: plot, pacing, characterization, etc. I'd like someone who can be constructively hard on me.

ETA: I mostly write speculative fiction, including horror, though I have a few regular fiction tales.

I do have a horror collection lying around and some of the stories (~1000 or ~2000 words, one around 5000) could still use another opinion.

Hey, I'm in the same boat! I have three short stories that need a look over plus I'm planning on writing another this week before entering competitions. I'm a History teacher and quite good at copy editing so we would probably be a good match. PM me if you're interested :)
