I might post it up on my blog along with a few notes about the process we went through to write it. I'll put up a link here when I do. It was so cool to see how excited they were in class, and when they were talking to their parents afterward about what we were doing!

Of course there are dragons. What would be the point without dragons?

Can't wait to see it.

Is it safe to have the dragon on the dirigible? Should we maybe tie him to the back? :D

Just kidding, dragon. We're always pleased when you jump aboard. :Hug2:

That kiddo isn't very good at cartwheels, is she? Her right leg looks almost broken! Which is exactly what my right leg would be if I attempted a cartwheel, I'm sure. :D

Back in the day, though? I was a master cartwheeler. ;)

Hurray! hurray! MsJudy.

If one of them doesn't snap that baby up, then they're nuts.

Keep us current with the news, please.

It's starting to feel real. This latest one said such nice things about my characters and my world, and basically said not to sign with anyone else until she's had a chance to read it...!

Thanks for all your whoops and woo-hoos. I've only sent out a couple dozen queries, so my request rate is making me very happy.

Plus I met my writing goal for the new book, and I'm starting to get a feel for it. The voice and the mood and the characters... I'm going for a Jane Eyre feel this time around. Bleak and Gothic... wind-swept moors... treachery and attempted murder...

Oh, I loved popping in tonight and seeing Ms Judy's exciting news. My guess is she'll have some more exciting news soon. I hope so!
Now I'm off to kill a character. Or another pina colada. Whichever.

That sounds promising! Do you have your list of questions so you're ready for The Call?

I'm sure you'll be more prepared than me... I was at work, and there was no private place to talk. A kind coworker handed me her keys, and stayed with my kids while I used her car as a temporary office!

Thanks everybody for your positive thoughts.

Ruth, I don't have a clue what questions to ask. I mean, at this point, I'd be more like, OMG, OMG, you want me??? *swoon*

I am a little freaked by having the 3 fulls out at once. If I actually have to make a decision, like 2 or 3 of them all make offers, I really don't know how I'll figure out what to do. I guess I'll just take it one step at a time. There are some big differences in terms of what other authors the agencies rep, but I'm not sure how that would affect me.

Any suggestions on important questions to ask?

Smish's list of questions to ask agents:

1. Do you have any editors in mind for submission? What is your strategy for submitting?

2. Are you an editorial agent?

3. Do you intend to help me start a career in writing? Or are you only interested in selling this novel?

4. Would it be possible to speak with a current client? I'm an amazing authoress; I want references. :D

5. Do you like brownies? (Seriously. People who don't like chocolate can't be trusted).
