The exact centre of all of existence
My weekend will consist of visiting the grandparents, doing a bit of grocery shopping, and doing homework. Bah!

I've got an assignment due on Tuesday which needs to be edited into shape, and one due on Friday which I haven't started yet (because I only got it yesterday). Eek!

Happy Halloween!

I don't think they got finished with it here.

Sadly, a nine-year-old boy was killed here last night due to the weather. High winds caused a tree limb to break and take down a power line and the kid ran over it with a bicycle.

It is. According to witnesses he was still holding on to his Halloween candy.

It really wasn't a night to be out, but I guess he wanted to go trick-or-treating so badly that he when around the neighborhood on his bicycle.

Well, to change the subject to something more pleasant . . .

It was a nice day here today; sunny and just a little cool. The trees have about half-way changed color, although some individual trees are blazing red or orange or yellow.

Very sad, AC! Prayers sent to the kid's family.

On a happier hoppier note, we had several turkeys hopping on and off our back fence and the neighbor's gate that connects with it.

Hopping in to wave :hi:

Blessings,

Welcome, Sunshine! Yep, wild turkeys hop, fly, stop traffic, etc. Rumors to the contrary are based on their domestic counterparts, which don't have the space to develop muscles.

Blessings,

AC, that is the saddest story. It kind of puts things in perspective. Basically, I have nothing to complain about in comparison.

Happy first day of November, everyone!

I survived Halloween!

Hey, y'all.

I hurt my shoulder moving some furniture yesterday. I feel like Igor in "Young Frankenstein"

Aw :( Isn't moving furniture something that husbands are for? Put some ice on it. He deserves the cold shoulder for not helping you. (I hope it's much better already.)

Poor kitty. Did someone give that kid a double espresso, or something?

So sad about that child, AC. What a terrible tragedy. Why doesn't the US put electrical cables underground? You guys have got snow and ice and storms that knock the cables down. Surely it would make more sense to have them underground. Looks tidier too. (IMHO)

:D
