Hello all, I'm Ryan. I initially signed up just to blow off some steam about a publisher that ripped me off. Then I was pleasantly surprised to find that a handful of authors I'd heard of or even spoke to while I was with the company had also found their way here. I kind of stepped away from the novel writing for a while as the independent film industry had been beckoning me. But now with my first semi-major film almost finished (out of my hands at the moment in late post-production) I've been bitten by the bug again. I've written a handful of decent books that are kind of wallowing in obscurity so I recently figured it's probably about time to get back into the swing of things. Everyone here seems cool and supportive so I plan to hang around. A belated thanks to Stacia Kane, Jenn Walker, Mary Quast, and Brenda Hill for welcoming me earlier.

Interesting that two back to back welcomes were from folks with cool sword-wielding avatars. And thank you to everyone for the welcomes. Though Blinkk I'm probably more like a two-trick pony than a well rounded writer. I just happen to be great at screenplays and mediocre to average at penning novels.

Thanks also Reddog! I don't think I'll reach the 50 within the next two years and I won't try - I much prefer to scavenge what info I can while minimizing any actual social interaction. (kidding! Mostly. Everyone here seems great though)
