It must be. Moose is a kind of deer, right? Deer IS venison, right?

Therefore, moose=venison.

Case closed <slams gavel>

I'd accept this, except for the fact that while duck, goose, chicken, and turkey are all birds... they don't all taste alike.

Though admittedly turkey and chicken are similar in the way that duck and goose are, so you may be on to something there.

We're having moose tonight, huh? Can't comment there unfortunately. Although I feel like I've had buffalo at some point. And for some reason it took me three tries to spell it right.

I have some family in CO. We've gone there for Thanksgiving a couple times. That's where I had it too.

I can tell you, moose does not taste like cow does not taste like caribou which DOES taste like reindeer, because caribou = domesticated reindeer.

Moose is ... I don't know how to describe it. Different, though. More, I think. You know it's moose when you bite in to it. It's got some green springy sort of essences, as well as some tough... not texture, but ... sturdiness to the flavor? And it's not fatty or anything.

I haven't had moose or caribou since I lived in Fairbanks, AK, also I haven't had second degree frostbite since I lived in Fairbanks, AK.

Bison is excellent. Get some ground bison at the store (caution, it's expensive) and make hamburgers out of it. Much better flavor than beef with less than half the fat (you'll have to be careful if you fry it as it has substantially less fat than ground beef does).

Anybody save me any moose steaks - and chocolate?

Mmmm, melty...

:)

I imagine the lack of frost bite at least is a good perk of moving! I'm making Alaskan salmon for dinner tonight, made some blueberry pancakes this morning, to remind me that my state is delicious.

...Alaska is delicious.

I... am actually too tired to be messing with avvies.

And, as proof, it took me three attempts to spell "avvies" correctly.

Hmm... I have seen enough films with dragons to know that petting their tails usually ends in an impromptu barbecue.
