So I was at Universal orlando resort, riding the Cat in the hat ride. (Against my will) And some how it inspired me to write a creepy poem about it. I'm not really a poet but whatever. wanted to share it with you guys.
"The Hat Man"
The sun had gone down, the moon full and bright;
The forest was silent, with no one in sight.
Within a small cottage, in the forest so deep;
the old hat man, would come when you sleep.
The wind would blow fierce, a knock on the door;
dark shadow figures, across the wood floor.
It isn’t a dream, and you’re not insane;
all of your efforts will all go in vain.
The door would creak open, the hat man is through;
with him his minions, thing one and thing two.
As they move through the cottage, you already knew;
Your bargain was up, and a payment is due.
The hat man moves swift, with his minions along;
Laughing and dancing while singing their song.
“The hat man is here, to collect what you owe;
You get what you give, you reap what you sow.”
“He does not want riches, and does not want gold;
all he does want, is your innocent soul.”
This is the end, your short life has past;
A deal with the hat man, never will last.
You look back on your life, your deeds big and small;
Then question yourself, was it worth it at all.
So heed this fair warning, do all that you can;
And never make a deal, with the old hat man.
