I've honestly never read any of his work, but thank you for sharing this, mirandashell. What an interesting choice of genres for a man who spent his whole life in England!

Well, many of the ranch owners in the real west were also men who spent their entire lives in England, so it kind of fits.

I have a bunch of his westerns. He was a good writer, and knew the old west better than many who live there.
