Wouldn't the lack of a Christmas tree be a surprise in itself, like if your parents told you they'd cancelled Christmas on account of Obamacare?

If the Republicans had chosen a different candidate this year, and won, would we be saying, "Merry Christiemas?"

Or if the Repubs had just won with their candidate, would we be saying, "Give me the fucking presents grandma, don't you know all this caring singing is just for the 47%, true Americans are in it for the presents, and screw everyone else, begging for their share, buncha worthless welfare monkeys"?

Do I detect a tone of cynicism in the above post?

Isn't cynicism one of the three cornerstones of a merry Christmas?

How about family rows, and trading presents in on Dec. 27th?

What about giving a few small coins to charity so you can feel like you've done your part to feed the billion or so people who live below the poverty line?

Don't they live below the poverty line because they are too lazy to work?

What about those who work two jobs and still fall below the poverty line?
