uh...yeah someone on here said something to me that really kinda...made me extremely angry, so I was letting myself cool down. I don't like to be online when I get angry cuz I start upsetting people with my potty-mouth and behavior and it's bad manners....^^; I eat healthy most of the time too, but i will NOT give up my burgers. mcdonald's thy name is heaven

Oh I missed that- sorry. Glad you cooled down and came back.. :)

Burgers are junk food?? :Wha: :e2bummed:

yeah xD I was nervous to come back in case he was still here, but on the same day he got REAL pissy and rude to a moderator so I figured he'd be gone when I got back. I certainly haven't seen him post today xD yes, my dear, they are xD deliciously wonderfully unhealthy

Morning, Pubbers! :hi:

*non-wormy cookies* LY must be back!! Hi LY- how are you? How's your writing?
Hey Sunshine! All is well here, thanks. :) The writing is a bit slow, but I'm pushing forward, as usual.

Awwwww! Much, pumpkin .
:yessmiley

Don't feel like the only one! I've been AWOL, too.
Hey Bax! Welcome back. :)

That is my new, second-favorite emoticon.

L.Y. you can hang with me and the rest of the peanut gallery as we watch the floor show.
Sounds good. :D I'll bring more Baileys.

I have no clue what I've walked in on...o.o...

Hello all

Very late to the party but also very new... and this thread is huge.

I'm a scotch drinker? Is that still an option on page 8##+?

Thank you! I like it on the rocks.

And L.Y., I have not had Blackbush... but now that I'm googling it, I think I want to. I have to pass on the damn cookies though. I have control issues with sweets. One is never enough. BAH.

You mean there's s'posed to be something more than the B?

Bacon...mmmmm....

Agree completely with the above.

And good mayo is essential. Proper layering of a BLT is an art. You need enough bacon and a good thick slice of tomato in relation to the thickness of the bread. *nods*

Hello! I'm new here -- can I get a frozen margarita? And WOW is this thread huge!

So far I'm LOVING this forum... been reading all day and getting nothing done but learning a ton!

Newb Question: Writer or author -- what is the difference? Is there a difference? What is preferred?

Hi Pkbax! Long time no see! L.Y. you can hang with me and the rest of the peanut gallery as we watch the floor show. Hi Aunty, Astrid, Tiddlywinks and Ona! And, if I missed ya, HI!!! :D

Sunshine!!

'Sactly

The writing is a bit slow, but I'm pushing forward, as usual.

Mine has been slow, too. I'm debating NaNoWriMo, but the writing has been sooo slow I don't know whether that would kick me into gear or frustrate me.

Hey Bax! Welcome back. :)

Thanks, hon!
*tacklehugs

*walks in with crispy BLT sandwiches. Looks down. Realizes forgot everything but the B part.*

Bacon...mmmmm....

*looks down at plate. Realizes bacon now seems to be missing. Trudges back out to make more sammichs for pubbers*

You forgot the bacon???
:Wha:
That is just so wrong on so many levels, especially when one of the pub's menu items is the BBBBBBBBBLT.

*need a drink after than thought
*grabs a mug to pour a large Baileys
*thinks better of it and sets up keg IV

Who am I kidding. I can stick other people but can't poke myself.

*changes to flexible straw to drink directly from keg

Hi and :welcome:
You should know that in the pub the sweets have no calories and multiply as you eat them, so there are always plenty. :D

*slides over frozen margarita

This is a great place and full of so much info. Glad you found AW.

The way I've heard it stated a writer is someone who writes, regardless of what they write, and an author is someone who has written a book.
But does it really matter and which is preferred? :e2shrug:

Me. . . I like to keep it simple - I write, therefore I am a writer. One thing I do avoid now is the word "aspiring" 'cause that implies I'm just gonna think/dream about writing but not actually put words on a page.

*leaves tacklehugs and fresh cookies

I've often wondered myself.
If asked I now say I'm a writer. Although I'm not asked much since I'm not especially social, most of my interactions are here.

It's an improvement on saying that I'm psychologically retired.

So? You don't give up on cookies just cos you're scared you won't leave any for anyone else, that's the wrong attitude! Here's the cookie eating procedure:

Cookies? Oh good, I like cookies! I wonder what flavour they are. I'd better have one to check.

:e2cookie:

Hm, I think it is chocolate flavour. I'll have one more to confirm.

:e2cookie:

Yup, definitely chocolate flavour. But I think there is a hint of something else too, orange? Maybe, let's check!

:e2cookie:

Could be. Yup, there definitely is potential there for orange flavour. Just to confirm my suspicions...

:e2cookie:

Ok, I'm sure. Chocolate and orange cookies. Yum! Oh look, here's the box, I could have just read it! Let's see, it says 'Extra Crunchy Chocolate and Orange Cookies'. Were they extra crunchy? I didn't notice! I'd better check.

:e2cookie:

Yup, that one was definitely crunchy. Although maybe it was just one, I should check another just to ensure they are all crunchy - quality control, you know.

:e2cookie:

Yes, this one was also crunchy. Ok, I have come to the conclusion that these are great cookies! I want a great cookie! I'll just have one...

:e2cookie:

Hm. Only three left in the box! That's not good, is it? Actually, it's a really nice box. I think I'd like it to store my socks in. But I can't use a box with cookies in, can I? I have to empty it first!

:e2cookie:

:e2cookie:

:e2cookie:

Great, now I have a box for my socks!

This, folks, is how you eat cookies.

Hi I'm a new writer dog in the kennel. I would like to order a bottle (yes, I'll finish it) of Caymus Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon please. Yes, even the 2011 would be just fine if it's from Chuck Wagner at Caymus.

I've noticed some talk around here about . . . BACON!!!! So I know I've come to the write place (pun intended). One of those special sammiches with all those B's with a small L and a big T at the end will do nicely. And definitely agree that quality mayo is a necessity. Picky for an old dog, aren't I?

It's been a long day. I had to work today to buy my kibble while I'm writing, I'm adhering to the 'don't give up the day job yet' advice because I prefer to be able to eat. So while I'm waiting I'll curl up in the corner by the fireplace and take a little dog nap. But don't worry, I'll keep one ear open so I don't miss anything.

I overhead some people wanting bacon, so...here ya go. We have mustard, mayo, and just about anything else you could put on a sandwich. I prefer fried egg on mine.
