There are several discussions around AW that I think would be beneficial to this section, too. However, instead of rehashing everything that's already been hashed out, I'll post links to major discussions. If you know of any discussions that I have missed, let me know and I will edit to add them to this list.
- Cathy C was wonderful enough to put this post together and put it in the FAQs. If you have any questions about how manuscripts should be formatted and other associated things, check out Formatting Manuscripts for Submission.
- I'm sure you're all familiar with Learn Writing with Uncle Jim, but I thought it needed to be included here, too.
- Here's another of courtesy of Cathy C: Glossary of Publishing Terms, Abbreviations, and Acronyms.
- CathyC has a post in Romance about the AW Library.
- Jenna announced the Writing Partners and Mentors boards have been merged at Katiemac's suggestion.
- Also, with the AW Library being open, Chuck has posted the Library Guidelines for your reference.
- A discussion, Booksignings: All You Need to Know, started by JA Konrath has been made a sticky on the Book Promotion board.
- The AW Dictionary has been around for a while, but it needs a listing of its own here. It not only contains definitions of common abbreviations, but also marketing and publishing terms.
- Index to Learn Writing With Uncle Jim - Dawno has put a lot of work into this. I was looking for synopsis tips and this index helped a lot.
- I suppose most of us have seen "The Newbie Guide to Absolute Write," but I thought it was worth putting here as well. Specifically the "Office Party and Take It Outside Guidelines." (Now, understand this please, I do not post this for anyone in particular. I post this because I think it is an important reminder. Who doesn't need reminders on various things from time to time?)
- Query Letter Resources: This is in the Query Letter Help subforum of Share Your Work. Andrew Jameson has compiled a pretty good listing of query letter discussions and links to sites for tips.
