Subscription types

I'm checking out the subscription options listed at http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/payments.php and I'm a little confused.

What's the difference (besides price) between Voluntary Subscription 1 and Voluntary Subscription 2? What's the deal with Voluntary Subscription (no number), and why does it have 3 different prices associated with it?

And for anybody who thinks the amount they can afford to contribute can't really help all that much: please think again. If half the active members sent in a buck apiece, that would be huge. So your few dollars does too matter.
