I keep reading complaints about YA books insisting on special snowflake names. I might be a bit guilty.

I think I've heard so many wacky real names that the name would really have to be waaay out there like "Meeply-merp-dongly-doo Greenapple Jones" before I pause and go "Wait... WHAT?"

Based on the names, if I had to guess the non-humans, I would say: Alaric, Eris, and Cade. (and Elodie, but that's just because I read your first chapter so not really fair, haha).
