I like it.

I looked up the book's description on Amazon and think the image fits perfectly.

Simple, yet effective. It must be so exciting to see a top notch professionally produced cover for your book?!

I love this website:

Does that make me a bad person? :D

I have no visually artistic bent. Although I care very much about appealing book covers, I don't ever have ideas about what should be on one. I mean, not the first clue. My brain just doesn't work like that.

So it's a lot of fun to see some artist (now I wish I knew who it was by name, Maryn!) come up with suck a sleek and compelling image that fits what I wrote. So very cool.

I will not consider you a bad person for it. In fact, I shall pour more coffee and go have a peek at it myself.

That website is like literary roadkill - you just can't look away from it. ;)

I know we shouldn't, but we do judge books by their covers. It would be such a shame if a talented new author destroyed their chances of success just by having a cover like most on that website.

As a reasonable amateur photographer I don't have a fancy camera, etc, but I've got a fair eye for composition and a good shot. A few of my photos have sepia-ed (my latest new word) up nicely and I've fitted the title, tagline, and my nom-de-plume (don't judge - haha!) in convenient places. I put it down to being somewhat of a control freak over certain things and wanting to be responsible for the whole package. :D

Gorgeous!

Will they tell you the artist's name if you ask or must it remain a deep dark secret?
