That website is like literary roadkill - you just can't look away from it.

I know we shouldn't, but we do judge books by their covers. It would be such a shame if a talented new author destroyed their chances of success just by having a cover like most on that website.

As a reasonable amateur photographer I don't have a fancy camera, etc, but I've got a fair eye for composition and a good shot. A few of my photos have sepia-ed (my latest new word) up nicely and I've fitted the title, tagline, and my nom-de-plume (don't judge - haha!) in convenient places. I put it down to being somewhat of a control freak over certain things and wanting to be responsible for the whole package.
