"Revolting shoe foot" is putting it mildly.

I'm a little shocked at that photo choice myself. I blame it on the powdered doughnuts I ate in bulk prior to posting.

(((Cindy))) for the Rs

(((Elisabetta))) Good luck with the revision!

(((Para))) for the ex-drama.

(((Lily))) for the What To Do When She Dies discussion. Glad the turkey and sides turned out.

(((Blue))) Sorry you couldn't make it to Cindy's YA in the Sun. Is your computer "Snappy" yet?

Dragon - glad to hear Chloe's doing better.

Maryn - Yay! for the fun(ny) night out, and glad you got fed.

Suki - glad the two panels went well, and have fun at ALAN! Vamp dust for the WIP!

Timp - Eeeewwww!

Kell - have fun. I first read that as "bowie hike" instead of "brownie" and I was thouroughly confused.
I must have been hungry when I read Kell's post, because my first thought was - That's kinda weird. Do they get double-fudge brownies at the end of the hike? Then it clicked.

Lily mentioned the Scarlet Pimpernel
And I must still have been hungry - I read that as Scarlet Pumpernickel.

On writerly news, I just finished revising the opening to Purgy Pandemonium, and I like it much better. I'm a happy camper tonight.

Yeah, it's not quite a transatlantic move but it is a long-distance move. I wish I'd had a little more time. I would have tossed more. But I'm at the, "Oh, f***, throw it in a box" place.

Love the avi, Bogna!

Daww, thank you! She'll be moving with me. The vet wont let her fly, so I'm going to be driving cross-country with her.

Oh, I forgot (just slap me) - :welcome: Welcome to Purgatory, Bogna!

Sidle up to the bar - there's plenty to drink and lots of Purgies to commiserate and celebrate with. (Just watch where you step - I don't want you to trip over Cheeky.) Where are you at in this insane writing journey? What do you write?

The Brownie hike was good. It was not a Blue hike or a OL hike, but nobody injured herself falling down a palisade and we saw a bald eagle in middle of Philly.

Sounds like Lily had a good day.

Sorry for the frustrations, Blue.

More hugs to Xiao -- and very promising, Suki!

Feeling anxious. I have a big project set to launch on Thursday, which may or may not be my official book release day. And I think I'm going on sub this week. One good thing about subbing a picture book is that you CAN'T entertain fantasies of six-figure advances that will change your life and let you quit your job, but I sure would like to sell one. Would make the other work and writing stuff more bearable.

Morning, purgs! Had a very low-key weekend after a totally exhausting week: I tried to stay away from the computer as much as possible. The result being I feel 100% better, and am hopelessly behind on NaNo.

Also, Skyfall is a lovely, lovely movie, and Javier Bardem was a hilarious Bond villain.

{{{Kasey}}}

{{{Cindy}}} fingers crossed for you, lady!

Kellion, fingers crossed for you too!

{{Para}}, sorry for the drama. Hopefully it will find its way into a book? :)

Blue, sorry for the frustrating weekend, darlin'.

Love the purgy pic!

Maryn, I'm dong all my shopping on Etsy this year too: I love the idea of small handmade gifts, and of my shopping dollars going directly to the artist. I think all the sibs/sibILs are getting gussied-up pocket watches this year. I found a few amazing sites for those. And they will be easily carried out to CA with me.

Morning all.

I hope to squeeze in some writing today. We'll see.

Rick- Yay for finishing revisions on the opening!

Kell- I'll keep my fingers crossed that Thursday goes well.

That meet-up looked fantastic. It's a shame more people don't live near me.

Mornin' folk!

Not much going on here. Spent the weekend doing laundry and crocheting like a fiend, trying to get a Christmas present done. Should be ok. Hopefully.

Watched the new Spiderman last night, and I found it interesting that the person who was "after" Spidey was a cop this time, not a newsman. I think this speaks to the changing view of the media in modern times. The newspaper no longer has the power that it once did. (However, had they said the guy at TMZ was mad at Spidey, this I would have believed)

Morning, all. Repped as I came.

kellion, vamp dust for the picture book. I'll reserve my other comments until Thursday. You're one of those people who over-deliver, so I expect good things for you.

Also, Skyfall is a lovely, lovely movie, and Javier Bardem was a hilarious Bond villain.
I find it interesting you'd describe him that way, and I agree. :)

Purgies, it's Write to D0ne's nomination time for writing blogs. If you have one that appeals, here's the link.

Morning, all.

I wrote this weekend. Going to write more today and probably even a bit on teaching days this week, which I don't normally do, but I want to get done now I know exactly what happens (for now anyway, my characters tend to surprise me).

That's all I got.

Hugs, cheers all around as needed.

ETA: If any Purgies who have agents, think their agent would be amenable to being on my podcast, could you please rep me? I'm getting close to recording the first show and I'd like to have an agent participate in one of the early shows. Thanks!

Drat, my official release date is December 1. Well, that's OK, makes this week easier. I believe books will ship November 15 anyway -- just no e-book til December 1.

kell, all very exciting!

12/1 release noted. i think i'll
order it in to Mysteri0us Ga1axy as
i am doing a holiday party there that day!
and hopefully, they'll have my anthology
there finally!

snappy, *gives coffee*

thanks again for all the puglet sympathy!

haupe, from rep, i think i am crossover,
but when i think Adult Fantasy i always think
Game of Thr0nes and Kushie1's Dart etc. i don't
write like that. and i'm not convinced my voice
is adult either.

i don't know. i'm definitely a line
straddler. ha!
