Thank you in the name of trying not to bother the wrong agent with something they would not want in the first place. Prehistoric, not dinosaurs people. Can you give me a hint when I am reading what an agent is seeking what should I key on to aim in the right direction?
It is not quite history.

Look for comparable books and see who reps them. That's my best advice. Otherwise, Google the agent's name + interview to see if you can find more explanation. Also look into #MSWL on twitter and the website that goes with it.

In God I dwell, especially in Eugene OR
Sat Nam! (Literally "Truth Name"--a Sikh greeting)

Google the person's name and see what interviews, blog articles, websites, etc. come up.

Some of them aren't real clear. If they're in the ballpark, query them anyway.

Blessings,

Thats where genres come in *very* handy! It's a good idea to reseach each agent before you query them, it better allows you to personalize the "greeting" and know roughly their tastes in reading.

Thanks everyone. Sometimes it feels a little lonesome out here in the Query stages. Writing is a piece of cake compared to this. Have a great day.
