I drove Eartha to the recording studio.I'm sorry. I forgot that you listened to the original version when it first came out.

I'll see your Feelings and raise you a Muskrat Love.
Ween, Push the Little Daisies
Any and all by:...Bob Seger
See the tree, how big it's grown
But friend it hasn't been too long
It wasn't big
I laughed at her and she got mad
The first day that she planted it, was just a twig (douche)
Then the first snow came
And she ran out to brush the snow away
So it wouldn't die
Came runnin' in all excited
Slipped and almost hurt herself
And I laughed till I cried (douche)
She was always young at heart
Kinda dumb (douche) and kinda smart and I loved her so
And I surprised her with a puppy
Kept me up all Christmas Eve two years ago
And it would sure embarrass her
When I came in from workin' late
Cause I would know
That she'd been sittin' there and cryin'
Over some sad and silly late, late show
And honey, I miss you
And I'm bein' good
And I'd love to be with you
If only I could
(douche; smarmy)
Honorable mention goes to Bobby Goldsboro, who got many votes for various songs, especially ``Honey.'' One voter wrote: ``Why does everybody hate Bobby Goldsboro's `Honey'? I hate it too, but I want to know WHY.''
Why? Consider this verse: ``She wrecked the car and she was sad; And so afraid that I'd be mad, but what the heck; Tho' I pretended hard to be; Guess you could say she saw through me; And hugged my neck.''
As one reader observed: ``Bobby never caught on that he could have bored a hole in himself and let the sap out.''
Bon Jovi
That new Disney song.
I lurve how timeless this statement is.
I would have agreed with you if you said this yesterday
or last year, or the year before that,
or five years ago, ten, fifteen...
As I recall, Muskrat Love was by Carpenters.I started to included Muskrat Love, but there are just so many Captain and Tennille songs to choose from. Shop Around is almost as bad.
I would nominate almost all of the Christmas canon,
