The Senate Subcommittee on Poultry is meeting next week to coordinate with the House Subcommittee on Fowl Matters. They hope to have a number of staff members go with them on a fact-finding mission to Turkey, where extensive research has been done on the future of poultry in Istanbul.

Senator Foghorn Leghorn reports that he is vitally interested in this matter and is hosting a Chicken BBQ on Saturday as part of his re-election kickoff.

The most recent Gallup Poll indicates that all people are hungrily awaiting news on this.

The president of the SPCP (Society for the prevention of cruelty to Poultry) vows to keep this issue on the front burner.

You mean like putting leftover Thanksgiving turkey on pizza? I wouldn't do it myself, but I think I'm noble enough to look the other way when someone else makes such a pitiable misstep.

As a guest speaker for this summit, I seek to educate the populace about the travesty which has gone on far too long.

Luckily, they have changed the date until after Thanksgiving, to avoid the conflicts amongst those who love to eat turkey, such as myself.

The entire basis for the poll is unclear. What's clear is that Haggis has it rigged.

Haggis always has it rigged.

I hear they're stringy. I prefer turkey. Dark meat.

Turkey can be very chewy if overcooked.

Or undercooked. Undercooked is way worse.

I will celebrate the joy that is turkey tomorrow at my cousin's house, and then make turkey again this weekend to enable leftovers. It isn't a capon, let's be frank. (yes, I said that.)
