Made an appointment to get my picture taken for the book next week. Apparently, sending in a picture of someone like Ryan Gosling is frowned upon. Any suggestions?

Well, I'm not so sure a picture of my ugly mug will either.
Can't figure out what to wear. Or how to pose. Or maybe if I should take the puppy.

The girls say to use the dog, but my wife isn't sure it'll work.
A) She doesn't listen and may not sit still.
B) She's small, I'm big. We'd either have to do a full body shot, which would be bad or get her up on a table and me behind her. We may bring her and do a couple with and without to see which looks better.

Which is what I was thinking--that you're holding the puppy. Maybe if you're lucky, she'll give you a kiss when the picture's taken. 
The rule against splitting the infinitive is not actually a rule. It's a preference developed in the 20th Century and bandied about as a rule, but it is in fact quite acceptable in English.
