Searching for QLH

Hello!

I'm so new here I can't even find the washroom. Whats more, I can't find Query Letter Hell. I think someone said it was under AW Writing Lab, but I can't locate it. Directions would be appreciated.

Welcome, InkStainedWench. Looks like you have the directions to QLH. I encourage you to read through all the Stickies first off, and do remember that you need 50 posts of your own before you can ask for critique.

However, it's really good to read in there first anyway, and even to offer some crits of your own.

And yeah, it's hard to find things in AW at first; it's a huge place and there is a lot going on. Do take the time to read the Newbie guide linked at the top of the forums, and feel free to ask for what you need.

Take your time, enjoy the ride, and again, welcome here.

3) Count up 9 forums. You should see one called:
Share Your Work

4) Click that forum. You may be asked for a password. That password is vista.

5) Query Letter Hell SYW Is the third forum down.

Sorry to revive this after so long, but it took me forever to figure out the problem. The Share Your Work forum does not appear under Writing Lab unless you are logged in. (logged in to AW, not logged into Share Your Work)

Since I don't always log in, especially if I'm just planning to read threads, I often couldn't find it. Seems like a useful piece of information for people having trouble locating it.

I found that out myself not that long ago. I wanted to search for a query, and couldn't get to SYW because I don't log in on my phone usually.

Had I seen this question posted at the time, my first question would be:

Are you logged in?

The nature of a password protected forum is that it is private.

That means not visible for non-logged in members, not available for non-password using members, and not visible for Google and other search engines.

I'll have to go add a note to various FAQs.
