Limey - I'll do a better one for you. I just don't think I did well on that at all. I rushed. It could have used at least another 2 re-writes.
curtisputnam - I absolutely loved remains. Thanks!

Yes, I keep resisting the urge to edit mine, too. Ever since it got posted I've wanted to change 'Neuro' to 'Fizzy' --even though I'll lose some internal rhyme that way.

:e2thud:poetinahat - did you do that on purpose?
No, I promise! It was all random. Of course, I didn't do anything to avoid it either.

When you figure it out, will you let me know?

I don't think I will resist. :) I am still going to edit mine. I didn't even have time to come up with a title. I should have though. After all, it was her own portable Christmas tree since she couldn't put one up this year. But then again, "Portable Christmas Tree" just doesn't ring right.

But that all gets to wait until I take my niece and nephew to see thier sister for the first time. Yay!

There are still two people who didn't receive their poems.

I'm sorry about that; I've sent a couple of reminders to the missing poets, and I've let them know that their poems are still eagerly awaited.

Or, you could put the names of willing poets here now in a hat and redraw. I'd be willing.

One of the two missing poets has sent an apology -- that poem won't be coming.

I'm going to assume the other one isn't coming either.

p.h., your idea is noble and fabulous.

Anybody else care to write one more Secret Santa poem for our aggrieved, empty-stockinged Santas?

It's the least I can do, since I was late with JBI's.

I just added Curtis' belated poem. Thank you, Secret Santa again!

The other one is coming soon; the last Secret Santa is on the case.

The last poem is in -- I added it to the list. Now everyone's received a poem.

Thank you, everyone -- it's been great fun doing this.

Especial thanks to p.h. delarran and ddgryphon for stepping up and writing extra poems to make up the shortfall. May your holiday spirit last all year.

You guys rock!

A special thank you to ddgryphon. What wonderful timing. My day sucked, and I just popped in real quick, only to find a wonderful gift sitting in my inbox. Sometimes these things are better left till later anyway. :D

I am interested to know what the other poems that people received were. To put a little less burden on Poet, we can always post the ones that we received.

====================================================

Here is the one that I received:

Yule Fire

Kindle the Christmas Brand and then
Till Sunneset let it burne;
When quencht then lay it up agen,
Till Christmas next returne.
Part must be kept where with to tend
The Christmas log next yeare;
And weher 'tis safely kept the Fiend,
Can do no mischiefe there.
