Yeah, I don't know whether to be impressed or appalled. I wouldn't want one of MY books glued together to make a desk, and never be read again... But maybe they used all the books somebody dropped in the bathtub or spilled jelly on...

That's awesome! Unless of course your custom desk arrives, and upon closer inspection, you realize it is made from all of the remaindered copies of your novel... :)

Um... LOL? Yes, LOL! :)

Oh, I've read some stinkers that I wouldn't mind using for a desk. I'd throw a few copies of my own in there, just to be fair. :)

Congrats, abc!

A revise / resubmit is one step closer to getting an agent!

Good luck! :)

Just a reminder about a middle grade blog started by some AW writers. (Full disclosure: I'm one of them...) It's a recent addition to the blogosphere, but there are already some informative, funny posts. :)

It's a book!

My new middle-grade novel is ready to hit the shelves! I just got my author copies yesterday and it looks so... so... well, so much like a book. It's funny-- this is one I started years ago, rewrote and rewrote, put aside and forgot about, and then finally rewrote and submitted early last year. After all those scribble-filled notebooks and multiple computer files, it iso exciting to see it as an actual book at last. And I LOVE the cover. Here it is:

Looks YA, though. Is that what you meant? :)

Thanks guys! timp67, it's juvenile fiction or upper MG. The MC is 13 and it'd probably mostly appeal to kids in the 10-13 range. Most of my books are YA but this one is a little younger.

Congrats Cassidy! I just read the blurb on your website, sounds like a great read. Really lovely cover too. I'm curious though, what is she drawing in the sand, is it an eye?
