Newbie introduction

Hi everyone! I've heard great things about this forum and decided I'd join in. I've been lurking about a week now and getting an idea of where things are...and I've read some amazingly helpful info. Decided I'd better join.

Aside from my "day job" as a medical transcriptionist, I'm also published in women's fiction/romance as seen below in my signature. I'm right at the halfway point of what will be my second book out early next year. As for freelancing, I've worked steadily for the last three years for an online parenting magazine, but I'd love to branch out at bit. My ultimate goal is to be able to quit my day job when I have steady book contracts coming in, freelancing on the side for more regular checks -- because there's no way in the world I'd be able to budget for 2 royalty paychecks a year!

Anyway, just wanted to say hello! Hope to be as helpful to others as I've already found the boards to be helpful to me.
