The second book was published by Outskirts, not PA, but the same stock image cover was used.

Meanwhile, over in the Bad Hair Day section of the private PAMB, an author is very upset to discover that his/her book has the exact same cover as another book.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but I just had to pull this one out because it never ceases to amaze me how PA dirties up a manuscript. I can almost understand a blind spelling or grammar check adding some mistakes, but good gawd, repeating three pages? I mean, how do you even do that?

To stay on topic, I'll just say dreamweaver: That's very interesting about customers being able to "smell" a vanity book cover!

QOS already caught the duplication, but when PA uses the same cover for two books "released" the same week—week of July 5 - 11, 2010, it's a bit much. Or less. Probably less.

Info about the books is here (note that the content is way different):

I got a kick out of those.

Too bad PA's covers aren't meant to be funny. Many of the ones I've seen leave me in stitches.

Is it just me, or is this cover a new low for PA? (I know I've seen those eyes before, but what's with those three thingies coming out of the face?)

It's obvious that they took the time needed to alter the size of the rose, but at least on occasion they could flip the image of the rose or something and double the creativity factor?

Claw marks, probably PA's.

This is one red-eyed mouse! I know he's supposed to look big and menacing, but the cover made me giggle. Then I read the description and thought, but it's a mouse. At $24.95 for 60 pages, I wouldn't plunk down my hard-earned cash, but I'm darned curious to read an excerpt.

He looks like he has a particularly explosive form of rectal distress.

Did you ever see that disney movie "Mouse Hunt"?

When Christopher Walken gets bested by the rodent is my favorite part.

Hmm, I smell a new 'offer' brewing...
